Photograph article dated February 26, 1963 partially reads, "Factory names for automobile lines are fascinating. The French Cavalry in legend and song used 'Le Sabre' for 'cutting and thrusting.' Today, Buick Motor Division happily finds its gleaming LeSabre thrusting along Southern California freeways and byways in ever increasing numbers. Last week and when the Buick Dealers of Southern California put us in the driver's seat of a 1963 LeSabre four-door sedan we were in for a pleasant surprise. We have long been familiar with Buick's reliability and road-ability, but the new LeSabre is the greatest Buick performer in history." Photograph caption reads, "Skull Rock is Joshua Tree National Monument Landmark. New '63 Buick LeSabre takes us to colorful desert." The automobile pictured in the photograph was loaned by the Valley Times TODAY Motorlog Buick dealers of Southern California.
