Photograph caption dated March 22, 1939 reads, "It was understood that I should continue with my film career." Crawford is shown giving a deposition to divorce Franchot Tone, who expected her to accompany him out on the town after she had worked long days on set. The hearing was held at her agent's office, located at 1300 N. Crescent Heights Blvd. in what is now West Hollywood.
