Photograph caption dated January 2, 1963 reads "Burbank coeds, from left, Diane Walcott, Jane Savo and Susan Smith, are glad for the chance to relax after smiling and waving while the award-winning Burbank float on which they rode made its way over the 5 1/2 mile rose Parade route. The float--named the 'Cotillion'--won an award as the best in its class." The city of Burbank won for its entry in the 74th Annual Tournament of Roses Parade in Pasadena.
