This program is on the treatment of Hugo Pennel, one of the San Quentin Six. he was put in a neck shackle, unlike the other five, during court appearances. The woman speaking talks about Pennell’s health and the conditions of the prison. Very brief recording, only around 5 minutes. Digitization made possible through a Recordings at Risk grant from the Council of Libraries and Information Resources.
