Title transcribed from item; date devised by cataloger based on estimated years of activity for photographers Charles C. Pierce and A. E. McConnell. Photographer Charles C. Pierce came to California in 1886 and began his photographic career in Los Angeles, first in partnership with Albert H. Lohn, and then successively with J.B. Blanchard and A.E. McConnell. He established his own studio around 1900. (See C.C. Pierce negative collection, photCL 464.)
