The women are standing outside in the forest with a missionary father. They are all dressed in traditional clothing with head dresses, prepared to attend a dance. The back of the postcard is blank and contains a caption: "(1) Senegal (A.O.F.). - Femmes Diolas parees pour la danse." ("Diola women adorned for the dance") The back also contains information about the Catholic mission agency: "Missions des Peres du Saint-Esprit", and information about the publisher: "Edite par < < Missions> > , Revue mensuelle, 30, rue Lhomond, Paris (5e), 10 fr. par an. Ch. post. 1718-45, Paris."
