Photograph caption dated January 3, 1957 reads, "Mayor Norris Poulson files for re-election at city hall as Walter Peterson, city clerk, looks on. Opposing Poulson so far is John Ennis of Sherman Oaks. Mayor at first announced retirement, later changed his mind."
