Description: This is a photo of Sacramento Mayor Richard Marriott and Artist Meade Kibbey at the unveiling of Meade's "Africa Emerging" granite sculpture. The sculpture was denied at the State Fair Art Show and for placement on K Street but finally found a long term home at the Martin Luther King Jr. Library in Sacramento.
