Description
This book was based on two reports commissioned by the Commissioners for the Vienna Universal Exhibition of 1873 done by the author. In the introductory chapter of this work, Vizetelly describes the broad range of wines represented at the exhibition and the following chapters discuss and describe wines from different geographical areas. As an interesting note, Vizetelly later returned to England and resumed his career in publishing. He published works from many foreign authors including Zola. The publication of Zola's works resulted in imprisonment and disastrous financial loss for Vizetelly.
