Photograph article dated July 24, 1963 partially reads, "Two professional land appraisers today agreed the total market value of Los Angeles Dodger holdings in Chavez Ravine is about $19 million compared with Los Angeles County Assessor Philip Watson's appraisal of $30 million...O'Malley, facing a possible $750,000 tax bill, said when he brought the team from Brooklyn five years ago he was assured the tax bill would be in the $200,000 range...Dodger attorney James J. Arditto, on Watson's recommendation, found the supervisors willing to agree to whack $202,430 from $663,580 in valuation placed on business personal property and trade fixtures."
