This photograph is contained in one of two volumes by Dobbin titled "Album of San Francisco."
Text written under photo: "Market Street, south side bet. 3rd and 4th Sts. 1907." Written to right: "Humboldt Bank Building [with arrow]. South side of Market St. Aug. 1907 note lack of automobiles." No autos, but plenty of horse-drawn conveyances along with United Railroads car #1643 are making their way down the street. A small part of the Humboldt Savings Bank is visible at the extreme right. Further down is the framework of the Kamm Building, the Call Building just past it and, in the distance, the Monadnock Building. The Palace Hotel has completely disappeared.
