Photograph was edited for publication purposes Photograph article dated November 16, 1950 partially reads, "A daring daylight robbery enlivened by gunfire today netted a lone bandit $1500 from a North Hollywood market and almost cost the store manager his life. The holdup was at the Safeway Store, 4524 Lankershim Blvd., at the height of the early morning traffic rush. The manager, Wilford H. Davison, narrowly escaped being hit by a slug from the bandit's gun. It missed his head by only two feet." Photograph caption reads, "Narrow escape - Wilford H.
