Photograph was edited for publication purposes Photograph article dated December 3, 1963 partially reads, "The Burbank Baptists' Billy Bus Bulletin was a boon. It's responsible for that shiny, white, $6,851.32 bus that now sits in front of the First Baptist Church of Burbank...It was tagged 'Billy Bus' because officials of the church wanted to reach their fund drive goal by the time the Billy Graham Crusade arrived in Los Angeles...When the drive began three years ago, the church had intended to pay for the bus entirely with trading stamps...In the three years, only $2,000 in stamps was collected. Other tactics were called for. The Rev. Paul C. R. Peterson, pastor of the church, organized a Hundred Dollar Club...The Bulletin was distributed, and donations flowed in from several directions...When they totaled the donations two weeks ago, church officials found they had passed their goal." The Rev. Paul C. R. Peterson, pastor of the First Baptist Church of Burbank, holds up some of the trading stamps which partially paid for the newly acquired church bus.
