Description
Photograph of an exterior view of the Hopi Pueblo of Walpai, ca.1900. The single building is the last house at the southeast point and consists of two stories. The walls are made of adobe and are enforced with stone in several key areas, including the base of certain walls. There are small rectangular windows cut into the adobe walls, and a single doorway with a wooden door is at center. There is a set of steps at right, and what appears to be a ladder directly above these. Picture file card reads "J. Schmeding".
