Drawn opn the spot by Lieut. C. C. Barton U.S. Navy. Published by P. S. Duval, No. 7 Bank Alley, Philadelphia. Entered according to act of Congress in the year 1847, by P.S. Duval, in the Clerk's Office of the District Court of the Eastern District of Pennsylv.a" Map insert of the island below print, "Boat Book Draft of the Island of Lobos Gulf of Mexico" in circle at left of map; at right, "LOBOS. Is about one mile round, and a quarter of a mile wide. Covered with Gum and Lime Trees, and hugged up on the Southern side by pretty creeping Vines and wild-Gourds--The Reefs abound with all sorts of beautiful Fish, the Red Groupa, Rock Cod and a specias of Porgee being prominent.
