Photograph caption dated February 27, 1957 reads, "San Fernando High's hurdler Jim Pyron and miler Tim Roelen have been drilling extra hard to whip into shape for the big 1957 campaign that gets under way March 8 with the colorful Canoga Park Relays. Pyron is a graduate from the 'B' ranks last year and Roelen is one of the top prep milers in the nation."
