Description
One of four Statues of the Gotama Buddha and his three predecessors now moved to a new image house on the grounds of the Ruvanvälisǟya. The right shoulder is bare, the right hand in asisa mudrā-- the blessing attitude, which is a variation of the abhaya mudrā, with the right hand facing inward to the left side rather than outward. Left hand holds robe at shoulder. The robe has finely carved pleats.
