Photograph caption dated August 9, 1954 reads "Stretching out eager arms for a Madame Alexander, foremost doll in America, is Kay Montalbano, 6, of 8481 Lurline Ave., Canoga Park as Mrs. Ruth Hansen of the Kiddie Carnival store, 7129 Reseda Blvd., Reseda, displays the beauty. Owner Luba Barri, who has been identified in the merchandising business for many years and whose father, Leon Bart, now retired, taught her the business, will participate in Reseda's two day dollar sale Friday and Saturday. Youngland dresses, Sacony sports wear, Billy the Kid boys' wear, Chips and Twigs and Donmoor T-shirts will also be available during the sale."
