Description
This circa 1995 postcard shows the Crocker Art Gallery at Second and O streets. The pictured section of the gallery was constructed in 1872, housing an initial collection of 700 items. Its construction proved a boon for local contractors, including McGuire's Iron Door Manufactory. Located on Fifth and K, the business produced between 50 and 60 six-fold iron doors for Judge Crocker's gallery.
