Description: A unique mixture in Sri Lanka of Hindu and Buddhist architectural elements. Dismantled and reassembled beginning 1980 to allow the Mahaweli river hydro-power project. The Hindu aspects are in South Indian Pallava style and related to edifices at Mahabalipuram.
