Description
Archivist Ronald Baker interviewed Robert Deards on two separate occasions, 1984 and 1986. In both interviews, Mr. Deards discusses his involvement in real estate and his civic engagement in Ontario and San Bernardino County. Mr. Deards served on the City of Ontario Planning Commission and the County of San Bernardino Planning Commission. Mr. Deards was born in Iowa in 1907 and moved to Ontario in 1930. He also discusses reviving the Ontario Chamber of Commerce and Ontario during the Great Depression.
