Description
Photograph caption dated May 13, 1941 reads, "Senoritas and dons who will take part in Riverside's annual De Anza Days celebration, which opens tomorrow, are shown on the balconies of Riverside's historic Mission Inn, from which they will give greetings to the Caballeros De Anza, who will ride in from the desert to participate in the fiesta. De Anza was an early Spanish explorer in Southern California. The group shown includes Helen Rees, Wanda Wurley, Jane Morgan, Juanita Encell, Joy Biery, Frances Shook, Katherine Steward, Stuart LaBonde, Orrin Thresher, George Lackey, Jack Miles, Ennis Reid, Don Vance, Ben Milliken, Howard Johnson, Berly Barnes, Judson Waugh and Paul Sweet, all of whom are to participate in the fete."
