Political foes, Clifford Clinton (right) is shown as he stood near Louis Jacobs (left), a radio commentator, and Meade McLenahan (center), Board of Education candidate, at the City Attorney's office where Clinton accused Jacobs and McClenahan of libeling him. After the hearing, Assistant City Attorney Joseph McFarland said he would issue a complaint against the pair. Photograph dated: April 3, 1939.
