Description
Photograph of two old Mission bells in Old Town San Diego, ca.1880. The two bells are suspended by chains from a wooden frame, and the hammers of the bells are tied with rope to the frame posts. There is an adobe building behind the frame, and its spackle has deteriorated considerably, revealing the bare wall beneath. The bells hung in the rear of the church where Father Ubach conducted services for many years.
