Two bachelor brothers - Louis and Walter Schroeder of 17653 Nordhoff St., Northridge - have that happy facility because they can see a reason for sticking to the things they love best of all - the good earth. Walter, the oldest of the two Valley bachelors, was born at Leavenworth, Kansas. Louis is a native of Los Angeles. The first world war caught Walter. He served overseas with the A.E.F. in Company D, 125th Infantry, 32d Division. Louis was too young for the first war and too old for the second."
