Description
A book commemorating the 50th anniversary of the Pasadena Buddhist Temple in 2008. The book contains photographs and information on the members and leadership of the temple, as well as the history and highlights of themp activities. The book includes congratulations and advertisements from community members and local businesses. The Nishimura and Nagata Family Papers contains items relating to the history of the Pasadena Buddhist Church, including photos of events and groups associated with the church like the Pasadena Buddhist Women's Association, the Young Buddhist League (BL), various Buddhist Church conferences, Judo competitions, and Kendo competitions. Materials also relate to the incarceration of the Nagata family at the Heart Mountain incarceration camp in Cody, Wyoming and include photographs of the family.
