Kenneth Hopper writes Mr. Protzman thanking him for talking with him at length. Hopper states that he is enclosing two pieces that will give Protzman some detail about Hopper. He informs Protzman that the Innovation piece was written when things were going well for him, while the other was written during a period of illness that gave him a chance to look at the history of American technology and broom making. Hopper shares that he phoned the military history library at West Point and was given some references to books on the Occupation. He goes on to say that it was kind of Protzman to offer introductions and that he would appreciate one to a Japanese shipyard.
