Description: A man works on a trailer parked in front of two single-story houses that are jacked up, waiting to be put on foundations after being moved from another site. The houses belong to Judge Reuben Schmidt, a native of Los Angeles, who plans to remodel them and move in the members of his family. A convertible is parked in the driveway on the right. The back of the Wilshire Ebell Theatre sign is visible in the background. Photo dated: Mar. 13, 1939.
