Fire which destroyed three oil wells, derricks and equipment at Santa Fe Springs field is shown being battled by firemen who fought the blaze for three hours before bringing it under control. Huge clouds of black billowing smoke, pours from the oil fire. Firemen used water under high pressure, artificial fog and chemicals to smother the flames. Damage was estimated at $30,000, but nearby wells were saved from the fire.. Photo dated: July 29, 1937.
