Description
A large crowd of people, many of them young, march during a funeral procession on their way to a burial site following a demonstration in Managua's Plaza 19 de Julio in honor of a group of young men murdered by Contras. Within the crowd there are several individuals in olive green-colored military uniform. In the middle of the image there are four signs that read, "There is no revolution if there is but one person indisposed to sacrifice," The blood of our brothers demands justice/Nobody nor anything will be forgotten," "For the those that are dead, our dead, we vow to defend victory," and "They shall not pass from the border/We fight to vanquish/They shall not pass." In the foreground of the image there is a group of young women wearing an outfit that consists of a white shirt and a blue denim skirt. In the background there are two people waving the blue-and-whie flag of Nicaragua and the black-and-red flag of the Sandinista National Liberation Front.
