Description
Mark Haskell Smith discusses his book, “Delicious.” He begins by explaining that in Hawaii companies often form monopolies and that his book is actually based on a true story in which a company from the Midwest tried to move in on a Hawaiian company only to be shot at while they were unloading on the dock. Smith then discusses how he used humor in the book. He then goes into detail about the extensive research and plotting he did to write the novel. Smith also goes into detail about the major plot points and characters. Later in the interview he reads aloud from his work and shares how he likes to mask his social commentary with humor so that it does not feel like work for his reader.
