Description
Photograph of an exterior view of the Shell Oil Company, showing a concrete building, ca.1940. The building on the right has a concrete frame with no walls, exposing the machinery which sits in the shade of the interior. Several tall, thick, darkly-colored cylinders stand to the left of the building with ladders and rounded guard rails climbing up their fronts. The cylinders stand on a rectangular platform which stands above rows of intersecting pipes. Several tall, skeletal structures stand more yards of intersecting pipes in the background on the left.
