William K. Wrigley, Jr. was born in 1861 in Philadelphia. Was manufacturer of chewing gum. Beginning in 1914, lived in Pasadena, purchasing the Stimson House, called "The Shadows," was located at 391 S. Orange Grove Ave. Was a mission style structure with Italianate brackets, designed by architect, G. Lawrence Stimson. He died in 1932.
