In this interview, Steve Blancarte, a Mexican American electrician, discusses his experiences with hiring halls, and job sites as a member of International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers, Local 11 based in Los Angeles, California. These experiences include issues and struggles he faced regarding racial discrimination in the union.
