"133 Court House from Hill St."--text, handwritten in ink on verso. "Lemuel S. Ellis landscape photographer Los Angeles, Cal. P.O. Box No. 200"--text, stamped in blue ink on verso. Title transcribed from writing on verso; date devised by cataloger based on the history of the Los Angeles County Courthouse on this site which was built in 1891 and the history of the photographer Lemuel Ellis, who died in 1902.
