Description
Report on sociological research done at Poston, and the War Relocation Authority's decision to expand the research to all incarceration camps. This issue titled as: Monthly report on the Colorado River War Relocation Authority for evacuated Japanese. The collection contains material used by Carey McWilliams in writing the book, Prejudice: Japanese Americans, symbol of racial intolerance (Little, Brown, 1944). It includes U.S. War Relocation Authority records, confidential reports, bibliographies, clippings and compilations of articles, legal papers, correspondence between McWilliams and Japanese American incarcerees, camp newspapers and other publications, two copies of his book, and five copies of the 1994 videocassette (40 min.), Something Strong Within.
