An army Cadillac Gage Commando armored car is parked on a street as it patrols the streets of Chimaltenango. A political banner across the street reads, "Civilization and Progress 'YES.' Communism 'NO.' Mario [Sandoval Alarcón] President. MLN" (National Liberation Movement). In the background of the image there is a large crowd of people. Next to the armored car is a woman walking with a basket. She is wearing a brown skirt and a white top. Carlos Castillo Armas founded the MLN in 1954 after a CIA-supported coup d'etat against democratically elected President Jacobo Árbenz.. Un vehículo blindado Cadillac Gage Commando del ejército yace estacionado sobre una calle mientras patrulla Chimaltenango.
