Description
Photograph of an aerial view of flooding near the San Gabriel River and the fork of the Rio Hondo River, ca.1930. A large, misshapen spot of shade lies over a portion of the city which appears to be divided into squares. Two main roads run through the squares with one extending from the foreground on the left into the background on the far left and the other extending from the left to the right where it joins a bridge that runs over one of the large rivers. Small streams from of overflowing water seep from the river on the right and the second river in the background on the left into the squares of the city. The rivers run towards the faint mountainside in the background.
