Description
(Left to right): Albert Einstein, Charles St. John, Walter Adams, Edwin Hubble, Arthur King, Walther Mayer, and Alfred Joy on the porch of the Monastery, Mount Wilson Observatory. The Monastery served as a dormitory for visiting scientists. All of the men are wearing suits. Einstein, St. John, Adams and Hubble are seated on the porch; King, Mayer and Joy are standing. Two porch columns are seen behind the group; trees are also visible in the background.
