Description: Caption published with photo in the Sacramento Bee on December 26, 1964 states: "A major traffic problem on US Highway 50 was posed by this slide across three lanes of the four lane highway one mile below Fred's Place in El Dorado County. The rock and mud slide was cleared away speedily after the blockage Wednesday."
