The barn and former studio building was originally located at 1521 Vine Street, then was moved to Paramount Studios lot in the 1920's, where it spent the next 55 years. In October of 1979, the Barn was relocated from Paramount Studios to a lot on Vine Streetin Hollywood. After a preservation effort, the barn was relocated to its current, permanent site across the street from the Hollywood Bowl, and it is now open to the public as the Hollywood Heritage Museum. A police car escorts the Lasky-DeMille Barn as it is moved by a trailor north on Vine Street through the intersection at Sunset Boulevard, past the Home Savings & Loan bank branch in Hollywood.
