Description
Snipe on the back of the photo, dated April 29, 1977 reads, "The 'Hollywood Ten' about to leave for prison, stage a demonstration at the Los Angeles Airport with families and attorneys, as seem in HOLLYWOOD ON TRIAL. Appearing in the photo are: Lester Cole, Dalton Trumbo, Alvah Bessie, Nicole Trumbo, Christopher Trumbo, Cleo Trumbo, Mrs. Ring Lardner, Jr., Ring Lardner, Jr., Ben Margolis (attorney for the 10), and Herbert Biberman. Chris Trumbo appeared last Sunday with other sons and daughters of blacklisted members of the motion picture industry to discuss their growing up under the blacklist."
