Description
Photograph of members of the Sunset Club in a railroad car on the Mount Lowe incline, [s.d.]. Approximately thirty-five men are crammed into the car or are standing on the steps at right. All of them are wearing suits and ties, as well as broad-brimmed hats. Some are standing under a canvas overhang at the back of the car. The steep tracks are visible behind the car as they lead up the mountain. There is an empty stairway at right. There are several legible signs, which include, from top to bottom, "Length of Incline track 3000 Feet", "Direct Ascent 1325 Feet", "Steepest Grade is 62 Percent", "Fire Warning", "Rubio", and "Red Seal".
