Photograph article dated October 16, 1961 reads, "At Faculty Wives Club Tea to honor new faculty wives at San Fernando Valley State College, guest speaker was Dr. Delmar Oviatt, dean of instruction. Mmes. Robert Lawrence, chairman, and John Palmer, newcomers chairman, welcomed guests, and Mrs. Gerald Strang, club vice president and program chairman, planned program. Mmes. Ralph Prator, Oviatt, Ernest Velardi, Leo Wolfson, Clifton Winn, Warner Masters and Ellis McCune presided at tea table in Music Building."
