Description: Frank Rinehart wears a long dark coat and poses in front of trees and bushes after a rare southern California snowfall. Behind him is a wooden structure which may be the wisteria pergola in the Japanese garden, which would place him in the current rose garden area. MS notes on verso read "Huntington grounds: snow scene, Jan. 11, 1948" and "(Frank Rinehart)". Date should read January 11, 1949.
