Scope/Content: Manuscript annotations by Montagu Pennington on a 1680 copy of Peter Heylyn's Help to English history. Annotations written on both interleaved pages and on margins provide more and updated information regarding the families and crests represented by Heylyn.
Condition: Volume 1 bound in contemporary motled calf; volume 2 bound in later calf; both volumes re-backed in lighter-colored mottled calf, with red spine labels and red speckled edges.
