Local artisan Antoine Bonsorte passes the now closed Phil's Diner on Chandler Boulevard. Antoine Bonsorte, a renowned designer, photographer, and musician, began his career in interior design and remodeling. He has designed for feature films, television, commercials, hotels, casinos, theme parks and special events. Phil's Diner, designed by Charles Amend in 1920's, served the railroad business area of 1900s North Hollywood; many blue collars workers came to this modest diner located at 11138 Chandler Blvd, off Lankershim to have lunch, meet with friends, and just hang out. Photograph dated February 2000.
