Shades of L.A. is an archive of photographs representing the contemporary and historic diversity of families in Los Angeles. Images were chosen from family albums and include daily life, social organizations, work, personal and holiday celebrations, and migration and immigration activities. Title supplied by cataloger.; Image is a reproduction. Margaret Rose Dadourian’s family was originally from Giumri, Armenia and relocated to the Boyle Heights neighborhood in 1913. Margaret was born in Los Angeles 1925. She married and had four children. She belonged to St. Gregory Armenian Apostolic Church in Pasadena, CA. Margaret died in Arcadia, CA, in 2015 at the age of 90. Friends and relatives of Joe Marikian, not pictured, pose in front of a cabin at a summer camp in Lake Elsinore on the Fourth of July, 1938.
