Description
This well-preserved moonstone is located at entrance to the image house near Thupārāma, earlier presumed to be of the Temple of the Tooth. It is of gneiss. This moonstone includes 16 sacred geese. The concentric semicircles include one comprising nine animals: three elephants, and two each of a horse, a lion and a bull. Diameter: 2.370 meters.
