Description
This June 5, 1967 photograph shows a portion of the second floor of the Sacramento County Courthouse at 615 I St. In the foreground is the courthouse’s rotunda, through which sun could beam via a glass dome. In the background are marbled walls and an entryway toward a door and elevator. The granite Greco-Roman building was built in 1913. Due to cramped quarters and failed plumbing, it was razed in 1970 in favor of a new building at 720 Ninth St.
